Two new appointments have been made to the Board of the National Reconstruction Fund Corporation (NRFC), further strengthening the NRFC’s work to invest in Australia’s industrial capability.
Mr Rodney Henderson and Ms Anna Shave have been appointed to the Board for three year terms and will help to guide the strategic direction and governance of the NRFC.
The NRFC plays a critical role in rebuilding Australia’s industrial base, investing in projects that strengthen domestic capability, support innovation and create secure, well-paid jobs across the country.
Through its recently expanded investment priorities, including the Net Zero Fund, the NRFC is helping Australian industry seize new opportunities in the global energy transition.
Based in New South Wales, Mr Henderson is the Chief Executive Officer at electrical engineering firm Colterlec, and former CEO of Ampcontrol. He is a current member of various boards, including Beyond Zero Emissions and the University of Newcastle.
Ms Shave is a Western Australian business owner, with extensive experience in commerce and investment, and is the former Managing Director of the Resource Capital Funds Innovation Fund. Ms Shave is a member of the WA Government Innovation Advisory Board, and Chair of Audit and Risk, and Remuneration and Nomination Committees for Catalyst Metals, among others.
Their appointments come as the NRFC continues to scale up its investment activities, including supporting projects in key sectors such as resources, clean energy, advanced manufacturing and technologies critical to Australia’s future economic growth.
Their expertise will strengthen the Board’s ability to guide investments that deliver long-term national benefit.
Current board members, Mr Daniel Petre AO and Ms Kathryn Presser AM, have been reappointed for a further 12 months. Their continued service will provide valuable experience and continuity as the NRFC advances its investment mandate.
The Government thanks outgoing NRFC Board members Mr Ahmed Fahour AO, and Ms Karen Smith-Pomeroy. Their contributions have helped established the NRFC and its achievements to date.
