The Morrison Government has launched the 2021 National Research Infrastructure (NRI) Roadmap and will invest $900 million over five years on the tools, technology and skills to make Australian research even more globally competitive.

A national network with a mission to advance local space manufacturing and future launches in Australia is being backed with $52 million from the Morrison Government.  

An internationally recognised mathematician and a distinguished research scientist have been appointed as scientific expert members of the National Science and Technology Council for three years. 

Projects to develop an mRNA vaccine for bacterial infections and a device to treat heart failure are among 13 industry-led joint research projects sharing in more than $32 million in funding from the Morrison Government.
