Statement from Senator the Hon Arthur Sinodinos AO, Minister for Industry, Innovation and Science.

Earlier today I sought, and was granted, a period of leave by the Prime Minister to address a medical issue.

Beginning Wednesday the 20th September, Senator the Hon Michaelia Cash will be acting Minister for Industry, Innovation and Science.

I will return to full duties later this year as soon as practicable.

I ask for privacy for myself and my family at this time.
